VPR Patient Outreach Program (VPR POP) is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Training Team in Kansas City, Missouri. VPR POP develops patient-to-patient programs so people who live well with progressive or rare diseases can share health education and messages of hope with others who may be struggling with the same condition.
The Trainer will help patients become speakers by working with them to develop their script, providing them with presentation coaching and offering ongoing support to ensure they are well prepared, confident and compelling when they speak to an audience of their peers. As much as 30% of the Trainer's time will be spent traveling to speaker programs to evaluate patients and provide field coaching, so flexibility is critical. The candidate will join a growing 20-person company and be part of a dynamic five-member Training Team that provides coaching to more than 300 speakers each year.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong writing skills
- Comfortable giving constructive feedback
- Able to develop individual training/coaching plans
- Enjoys working independently
- Proven ability to influence and inspire others
- Time management (able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines)
- Must be highly organized, attentive to details and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends
- Able to work in the VPR POP office one day per week and remotely four days per week
